Curb Appeal and an Improved Backyard Create Opportunity to Relax with Family

When we met Rachel and Dusan Stanojevic a few years ago, they were searching for ways to bring curb appeal to their front landscape after an emergency construction project had damaged the space.

Homeowner Rachel explains, “Dusan comes from Europe where formal gardens are highly valued and meticulously maintained”.

We used our garden style quiz to help hone in on specific style preferences and began to design a front landscape worthy of their beautiful home and family. After installation, we began maintaining the property and have watched the garden flourish.

    Welcoming and Timeless

Rachel describes the front landscape as her favorite part of the landscape because it’s both welcoming and timeless. The Stanojevic’s curving front walk needed to be accented so that visitors and family could fully enjoy the experience of approaching the home.

The front garden was enhanced by using the formal garden design technique of using hedges to create structure and bed delineation. The hedges are punctuated with upright ends and focal points using cone boxwood and upright hornbeam. The hornbeam create a vertical element to walk-through while visually softening the height of the home. Their classic shape is attractive before and after leaf-drop as well.

Soft colors provide a contrast to the hard lines of hedges for an interesting visual experience throughout the seasons. Traditional hydrangeas, roses, and ornamental trees were used to soften the hard edges.

“When we first contacted High Prairie our front yard was a complete mess because it had been destroyed by an emergency construction project. Out of the companies we contacted, High Prairie was the only company that took the time to get to know us so that they could present a landscaping plan that was absolutely unique and fit our home’s architecture and style better than we even thought possible. We also know that all aspects of our yard are being maintained to the highest standards, so we can truly enjoy our time outside as a family.” -Rachel Stanojevic

The Children Get Time Playing Outside

Imagine a family interacting in the fresh air without screens and distractions. The Stanojevics have made it happen. Their outdoor spaces are meant to be enjoyed. It’s clear that their family is important to them.

“We like to relax by spending time outside as a family playing tag or hide and go seek among our large trees in the backyard, and hosting family get togethers on our back patio which High Prairie renovated! And we can truly relax whenever we are outside because we know that High Prairie has already taken care of everything!,” Stanojevic continues.

Congratulations to the Stanojevics for creating a space they can enjoy together as a family with a stress-free space they can take pride in. Their beautiful family deserves no less.
